The position of a Scheduling Manager is to provide expert scheduling support to our estimating department and regional operations as well as ensure that all scheduling best practices and standards are adhered to. Overall responsibility for the best use of scheduling software and systems by all project teams through establishment of standards, training and monitoring of construction schedules throughout the company. This includes the responsibility of assuring timely, accurate, up to date, construction schedules which address all past, existing, and potential delay, impact or other claim situations.

Job Duties:

  1. Develop and maintain Master Schedule for regional operations
  2. Generate and assist in the generation of pre-bid schedules
  3. Generate and assist in the generation of baseline project schedules
  4. Provide best scheduling practices and procedures for baseline and estimate schedules as well as ensure that all scheduling standards are adhered to.
  5. Provide monthly schedule reviews to assure that each schedule is logically and strategically sound 
  6. Adjust schedules due to delay impacts
  7. Perform schedule analysis for claim situations 
  8. Provide timely response to technical questions of other schedulers
  9. Provide training for other schedulers as required
  10. Log and report information by inputting information into Microsoft Excel. Create documents in Microsoft Word 
  11. Maintain an organized work area, filing system, E-mail inbox, and to-do list ensuring that goals and activities are completed on time
  12. Maintain a highly organized work area and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  13. Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  14. Present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  15. Track, monitor, and benchmark construction schedules utilized by operations
  16. Provide supervision to project team members that perform scheduling duties but report to others, such as Project Managers, Project Engineers, Project Schedulers, Estimators or other persons.
  17. Work with and support non-direct reports to assist in reviewing and modifying schedules
  18. Other unlisted duties will be assigned


  1. Bachelor Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or other related degree
  2. Five (5) or more years of experience in Scheduling. Those with scheduling experience related to Heavy Highway, Bridge, and/or Design-Build experience will receive priority review
  3. Moderate to high level of proficiency operating Primavera 3 and 6
  4. Moderate to high level of proficiency operating MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint
  5. Knowledge of Earned Value Management principals
  6. PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional) Certification is a plus
  7. Cloud Based Document Control Software
  8. Be able to communicate in English via verbal and written communications
  9. Valid driver license for occasional, required travel
  10. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  11. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Full understanding of Construction Math concepts
  12. Moderate physical activity performing somewhat strenuous daily activities of a primarily administrative nature. Some exposure to outdoors with changing weather conditions such as rain, sun, snow, and wind. Ability to physically maneuver by foot minor obstacles at construction projects
  13. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers
