Job Description: Human Resources Manager

Location: New Braunfels, Texas

Schedule: Typically Monday through Friday working the hours necessary to successfully perform the job

Travel: Approximately 20% travel across Central Texas Region, as well as occasional travel to corporate office located in the Greater Houston Area

SUMMARY

We are seeking a professional, motivated and passionate Human Resources Manager to support our Central Texas Region. The Human Resources Manager will support organizational and business objectives by overseeing an array of HR functions in accordance with company policies and legal considerations.

JOB DUTIES

  • Sustains the work structure by updating job requirements for all positions.
  • Maintains organization staff by recruiting and interviewing prospective candidates; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; recommending changes.
  • Prepares employees for assignments by conducting orientation and training programs in collaring with training and development team.
  • Maintains a pay plan by conducting periodic pay surveys; scheduling and conducting job evaluations; preparing budgets; monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions; recommending, planning, and implementing pay structure revisions.
  • Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counseling employees and supervisors.
  • Assist with employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends.
  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organization at hearings.
  • Proactively implements and encourages management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
  • Reviews historical human resource records by keeping past and current records.
  • Continously expands on professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Completes human resource operational requirements by assigning and/or transferring employees and following up on work results.
  • Sustains company standards by counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or safety/human resources.
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.

 

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • 5-8 years of related experience. Priority will be given to candidates with industry experience.
  • Proven knowledge and skills related to Recruiting and Onboarding, Workforce Management, Benefits Administration, Performance Management, HR-Related Communication, Compensation and Wage Structure, Diversity and Inclusion, Classifying Employees, Employment Law, Discrimination and Harassment Policies
  • SHRM, PHR or related HR Training is preferred
