Job Description: Talent Development Manager

Location               The Woodlands, TX

Pay Range           Commensurate with experience. This position is classified as exempt

Schedule             Typically Monday through Friday working as many hours as necessary successfully perform the job

Travel                  Travel required approximately 30% of the time

As Webber continues to innovate and develop intelligent infrastructure, the Talent Development Manager actively searches, creatively designs and implements effective methods to educate, enhance performance and recognize performance. This position ensures that executive management, operations management,  and administrative employees grow intellectually and are fully equipped to outperform Webber's competitors.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Refine the Talent Management strategy, by understanding the corporate and divisional business needs across the regions, identifying best practice and building a robust program to create real business value.
  2. Plan and organize training events for corporate and divisional operations.
  3. Collaborate to understand training needs, appropriate curriculum, and effective presenters.
  4. Work closely with the Talent Acquisition team on senior and HiPo Talent Planning initiatives
  5. Provide insightful and actionable reports to executive management regarding Webber's strengths and areas of improvement.
  6. Create and administer surveys to learn the effectiveness of training activities, and provide feedback to management regarding improvement suggestions.
  7. Manage Webber's online training portal.
  8. Other unlisted duties will be assigned.


  1. Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, or similar
  2. Eight (8) or more years of experience in Talent Management, Training & Development or related field
  3. Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred, but not required
  4. International experience is preferred, but not required
  5. Ability to demonstrate creative, "out-of-the-box" thinking to develop, initiate and maintain effective programs for workforce retention, promotion and succession planning
  6. Ability to develop effective relationships within the organization to have influence and impact the talent development strategy      
  7. Functional expertise in program design, benchmarking, creating and facilitating leadership, learning, career development within a complex, matrix organization
  8. Demonstrable strategic planning and tactical implementation experience, ideally evidence of innovative approach
  9. Moderate to high level of proficiency operating MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint
  10. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers
  11. Moderate physical activity performing somewhat strenuous daily activities of a primarily administrative nature. Some exposure to outdoors with changing weather conditions.
  12. Valid driver license for occasional, required travel
