Location: Dallas, TX

Schedule: Typically Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with occasional overtime 

Travel: Negligible

Objectives:

The DBE Admin/Jobsite Admin is responsible for managing all the Local hire requirements and working with the Community on all DBE related activity.

Regular Job Duties:

  1. Foster and ensure awareness of the project and project procurement opportunities in the diverse business community through extensive outreach.
  2. Monitor and report statistical data regarding the project's diversity participation requirements
  3. Identify DMWSBE/HUB and potential DMWSBE/HUB firms that can perform specific tasks for procurement opportunities based on the available scopes of work through working with the project team to achieve the aspirational goal and maintain the committed DBE goal.
  4. Review change orders and amendments to analyze effects on the current DMWSBE/HUB participation.
  5. Direct involvement in sensitive issue resolution for concerns and disputes especially performance concerns involving DMWBE subcontractors on the contract (regardless of tier).
  6. Compile internal reports both project specific for the client and other stakeholders as needed about the diversity compliance.
  7. Adequately monitor and document the efforts as well as the results of the diversity contracting efforts (DBE/Aspirational) through the required TxDOT reports.
  8. Monitor and track DBE and Aspirational participation on consistent basis.
  9. Participate in DBE/MBE/WBE/HUB outreach activities to encourage participation on the project.
  10. Track and document the Good Faith efforts for achieving the aspirational participation on the project according to Form 2593 Office of Civil Rights Contractor Certification of Good Faith Efforts.
  11. Submit the required DBE and Aspirational participation reports to TxDOT monthly.
  12. Conduct desk audits, site visits and Commercially Useful Function (CUF) reviews for DBEs and other MWSBE/HUB firms working on projects to ensure work performance compliance.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  2. Three (3) or more years of experience within the last five (5) years as an Administrative Assistant in an accounting support role
  3. Be able to communicate in English and Spanish via verbal and written communications
  4. Received a High school Diploma
  5. Moderate to high level of computer skills in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook
  6. Valid driver license for occasional, required travel
  7. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  8. Moderate physical activity performing somewhat strenuous daily activities of a primarily administrative nature. Some exposure to outdoors with changing weather conditions such as rain, sun, snow, and wind
  9. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers
