Job Description: Payroll Time Keeper

Location  The Woodlands, TX

Relocation  No

Pay Rate  $14.00 to $16.00 per hour. This position is hourly and is eligible for overtime

Job Type  Full-time

Schedule  Typically Monday through Friday from 8:00 to 5:00 plus occasional overtime

Travel  Negligible

 

Overview

The Time Keeper performs a variety of administrative and clerical duties necessary to obtain, log, coordinate, and communicate hourly employee timesheets to the Corporate Payroll Office. This position assists the in managing, organizing, scheduling, and maintaining information related to hours worked, paid time off hours, holiday hours, and the coding of employee hours.

 

Job Duties

  1. Coordinate with multiple offsite construction projects and offices to request and receive timesheets on a daily basis for a weekly payroll. Confer with operations team in field for up to 600 employees throughout Texas to collect daily time sheets
  2. Critically analyze timesheets looking for errors and resolving problems through communication with jobsite personnel
  3. Work within strict daily deadlines to ensure that employees are paid correctly and on time
  4. Operate UltiPro to log timesheets on a daily basis
  5. Organize and enter daily timesheets for field employees
  6. Maintain a log to determine which jobsites and employees have submitted timesheets and which have not
  7. Collaborate within the Payroll Office to discuss areas of support needed in collecting timesheets
  8. Be accessible throughout the day to receive and respond to phone calls, E-mails, and in-person conversations. Follow-up with internal customers throughout the problem resolution process
  9. Review and verify hours logged for accuracy and make every effort to ensure that employees are paid correctly and on time
  10. Work within strict deadlines to ensure that workers are paid on time
  11. Maintain a positive disposition giving an solid impression of being customer minded
  12. Log and report information by inputting information into Microsoft Excel. Create documents in Microsoft Word
  13. Maintain an organized work area, filing system, E-mail inbox, and to-do list ensuring that goals and activities are completed on time
  14. Prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  15. Verification of data entry from other timekeepers on a daily basis
  16. Other unlisted duties will be assigned

 

Requirements

  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. One (1) or more years of experience performing data entry including receiving, reconciling, and submitting daily timesheets
  3. Must be Bi-lingual (Spanish)
  4. One (1) or more years of experience with a Payroll/HRIS system.  Preference for UltiPro Time & Attendance
  5. Moderate to high level of proficiency operating MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint
  6. Be able to communicate effectively in English via verbal and written communications
  7. Apply concepts of basic algebra
  8. Moderate physical activity performing somewhat strenuous daily activities of a primarily administrative nature.
  9. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers
  10. Must be legally eligible to work in the USA
