Job Description: Environmental Compliance Manager

The Environmental Compliance Manager responsible for managing the compliance with the Project Governmental Approvals throughout the Term.

Duties: Responsibilities
- Ensure that specific environmental submittal meets the Comprehensive Agreement requirements and that the requirements set forth in the Governmental Approvals are incorporated into the Design and Build of the Project
- Coordination of inter-disciplinary requirements within the various Sub-consultants or member of the Environmental Team (i.e. Environmental Compliance Inspectors, Hazardous Materials personnel).
- Review environmental submittals from Sub-consultants prior to issue for construction, including their distribution for TXDOT
- Obtain Governmental Approval
- Check and oversee the environmental submittals prepared by the Sub-consultants for incorporating into the Works, to be delivered within the defined schedule and specified requirements
- Provide reports as specified in the D&B Contract, Comprehensive Agreement, Technical Provisions, and other relevant contract documents

Other Duties:
- Supervise/manage/direct the selection, training, development, appraisal and work assignments of personnel
- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources
- Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill

- Bachelor's Degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university
- At least 10 (ten) years of environmental control and compliance experience in related industry
- Familiar with industry codes, OSHA, 401, 404, etc.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
- Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conforms to prescribed style and format
- Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors
- Ability to define problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
- Prioritize, organize, and delegate assignments.
