The position of a Job Cost Accountant will manage all financial/cost accounting for a specific project and/or projects. Working together with the project team to plan and maintain the budget and cost allocation of operations and expenses. This person will be able to generate and explain financials related to a project for cost analysis. Ensuring costs are properly recorded in a timely manner. Prepare reports monthly for budget meetings.  Also maintain relationship with suppliers, subcontractors and clients. 


  • Analyze Revenue and Cost
  • Creating and maintaining all Accruals for Vendors and Subcontractors
  • Pay subcontractors and complete necessary reports for the client on a monthly basis
  • Analyze inventory inputs and balances
  • Maintain relationships with vendors, subcontracts and client
  • Clients control (contract, change orders, pay estimate, collections, retentions, bonds)
  • Perform month end cost accounting reports for monthly close meetings with upper management
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.



  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • Two years related accounting experience and/or training
  • Must have experience with MS Excel and MS Word
  • Proficient personal computer skills including good electronic mail, 10-key, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative nature.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers
